Accessibility Statement

How this website is built to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification and reduced motion.

Last updated: 5 September 2026. This statement is reviewed whenever the website changes materially.

Our commitment

We want everyone enquiring about the Keepsake Bar to be able to use this website, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we have done

Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus indicator and a 'Skip to main content' link at the start of each page.
The navigation menu, gallery image viewer and cookie preferences panel each keep focus inside them while open, close with the Escape key, and return focus to the control that opened them.
Images carry descriptive alternative text, decorative overlays are hidden from assistive technology, and the site uses one main landmark per page with headings in a meaningful order.
The enquiry form uses visible labels, marks required fields, describes each error in text as well as colour, and moves focus to the first field that needs attention.
Text meets AA contrast against its background, the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, and content remains usable when text is enlarged to 200%.
Where your device or browser is set to reduce motion, entrance animations and smooth scrolling are switched off and content is shown immediately.

Known limitations

Photography is central to this business, so some pages are image-heavy and may take longer to load on a slow connection. Alternative text describes each image so the content is still available.
Some third-party content, such as embedded social media, is outside our direct control and may not fully meet the same standard.
